Ronald P. Snyder OD, FAAO

Ronald P. Snyder

Dr. Snyder is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. From 1967-69, he served as a commissioned optometry officer in the US Public Health Service. In 1969, he established an optometry practice in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where, along with his partners – Drs. Jack Solomon and Paul Klein—he built one the most successful contact lens practices in Florida. During those years, Dr. Snyder published more than 100 articles related to contact lenses and eye care in professional publications and peer-review journals. In 1998, Dr. Snyder retired from private practice to become the Director of Professional Services for Millennium Laser Eye Centers. Several years later, Dr. Snyder founded Visus, LLC, a company that manufactured disposable contact lenses. From 2003-13, he owned and operated one of Pearle Vision’s most successful franchises in Boca Raton, Florida. In 2008, Dr. Snyder founded and operated Pro Fit Optix, LLC, which imported and distributed competitively priced digital progressive lenses from Asia. In October 2013, Dr. Snyder launched the Eye Care Registry, LLC, now known as HealthCare Registries, LLC.

The registry extracts, analyzes “real-time” clinical outcomes data from provider electronic health records (EHR).

James E. Grue OD

Dr. Grue graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1979. He joined EMRlogic in 2006 as their VP Clinical Outcomes and Connected Care. Over the course of his career, Dr. Grue has specialized in the development of software as a clinical solution designed to exceed health care reform and pay-for-performance standards. Retired from full-time practice, Dr. Grue has been an avid observer of all that happens in Washington, D.C. pertaining to health care, and particularly, eye care.

He is a frequent speaker on health care reform and its implications for eye care as a profession. He is generally considered one of the most significant and thoughtful leaders of the eye care profession.

Gabriel Bologea M.Sc.

Gabriel has a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering obtained in 1986.
Over the course of his career, Gabriel held a series of senior IT positions related to healthcare, business intelligence and data engineering as well cloud based technologies.

Gabriel brings a wide breadth of technical expertise and knowledge, providing a foundation for an innovative perspective over the medical data.

With 30+ years of achievements in leveraging technology in the Healthcare sector, Dennis champions innovation with a focus on algorithms and design patterns to develop flexible, scalable solutions.

Dennis brings a full range of healthcare standards and interoperability over medical and financial data.

Michael J. Lipson OD, FAAO, FSLS

Dr. Michael Lipson is recently retired from his position as an optometrist/associate professor at University of Michigan, department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. His clinical practice involves specialty contact lenses: OrthoK, keratoconus, post-corneal transplant, post-refractive surgery and severe dry eye patients. He has published peer-reviewed clinical research studies on OrthoK, vision-related quality of life, myopia management and new lens designs. He lectures nationally and internationally on those same topics. Dr. Lipson developed a validated questionnaire to assess vision-related quality of life for all types of vision correction, including OrthoK. He has authored chapters in textbooks on OrthoK, scleral lenses and general contact lens topics. Dr. Lipson is the author of the book “Contemporary OrthoKeratology”. He also is a reviewer for a number of highly-respected peer-reviewed journals in the ophthalmic community. He is a consultant to the specialty contact lens industry emphasizing OrthoK education.

He is on the GPLI Advisory Board, served as Vice-President of the Scleral Lens Education Society and served on the Scleral Lens Education Society Board for many years.

He completed his academic clinical training at Kirtland Air Force Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He received his doctorate in optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.

He subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in ocular disease in partnership with the Vitreo-Retinal Foundation and Charles Retina Center.
He completed the Wharton School of Business Chief Executive Optometrist program at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Cooper earned board certification by the American Board of Optometry.
Dr. Cooper’s area of interest includes, ocular surface disease / dry eye, glaucoma management, diabetic eye disease and speciality contact lenses for patients who have keratoconus and other corneal diseases.

In 1997, Dr. Cymbor joined Nittany Eye Associates, State College, Pennsylvania.
He has received numerous awards including be named as one of the top 175 optometrists in the nation by Newsweek.

He is a principal investigator in a number of research studies in contact lenses, glaucoma and dry eye.

He has authored numerous publications in professional journals.

Dr. Cymbor is a fellow the American Academy of Optometry.

He is an adjunct clinical professor at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (SALUS).

Jessica HeinkeOD

Dr. Jessica Heinke 
OD

Dr. Jessica Heinke was raised in Crystal Lake, Illinois. She is a second generation eye care professional. Her father’s family introduced her to the world of optometry as she worked at her father’s practice while growing up, giving her years of expererience before pursuing higher education. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida; a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois; and a Doctorate of Optometry from University of Missouri St. Louis, Missouri.

She was awarded Optometrist of the Year from Eyegrads, Inc., when she acquired Family Eye Care of Woodstock in 1994. She acquired Family Eye Care of Lake Geneva in 2009. Professional organizations she is actively involved in are American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association, Wisconsin Optometric Association, and the Illinois Society for the Prevention of Blindness, and ODExcelence. She specializes in medical management of glaucoma patients and cataract co-management. She also specializes in dry-eye treatments and nutrition to promote vision health and prevention.

Matthew Brink MD

Matthew Brink is a board-certified Glaucoma and Advanced Anterior Segment Surgeon. He was born and raised in South Africa and moved to the US in 2007. After completing medical school in Philadelphia, and residency in Baltimore, Dr Brink trained with the world-renowned Dr Ike Ahmed at his highly competitive fellowship program. Dr Brink’s rigorous training enables him to treat the most complex glaucoma and anterior segment pathology. He gained expertise in cutting-edge technologies for the treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, lens or IOL-based pathology and refractive surgery. Dr Brink consults for multiple companies in the fields of glaucoma and refractive surgery. He is a board member of the Florida Glaucoma Society and the Digital Ophthalmic Society. He currently practices in West Palm Beach.

David Grosswald OD

Dr. David Grosswald studied premedical sciences at the University of Georgia from 1984 to 1988. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physiologic Optics in 1990 and earned his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 1992.

Dr. Grosswald is the founder and director of The Eye Center. He has a special interest in serving patients with the latest diagnostic and practice management technologies. Utilizing these technologies, the practice provides more efficient care while assuring a more impressionable experience for the patient.

Dr. Grosswald has extensive experience in providing specialty contact lens services, particularly with orthokeratology and scleral lens designs. The lens designs are primarily achieved via Wave Custom design software. This software permits infinitely adjustable fitting and optical parameters necessary for achieving success with challenging cases. Dr. Grosswald is recognized among the specialty contact lens professionals as an “opinion leader” and a pioneer of lens design concepts. He is a frequent lecturer on topics such as custom contact lens designs and practice management concepts.
